Philosophy

The fundamental concepts of good golf will be tackled using a variety of games and activities in fun and interesting ways.

For pre-school and primary classes especially, the technical coaching will be kept to a minimum with the emphasis placed on creating enthusiasm and interest in golf.

As the children become older and more capable there will be more technically focused golf related games and activities employed.

The goal is to promote the game of golf to children as a fun addition to the more traditionally played games at primary school age.

For example: swinging a foam baseball bat at an upright obstacle in an attempt to knock it over creates the correct use of shoulder turn and weight transference that is required in a good golf swing.

This movement is natural and does not require any detailed technical instruction yet it helps to program the correct method for golf.

Part of the secret of Beginnagolf will be to create a desire in the children to return time and again because the sessions are simply good fun.

Children of a young age can only cope with basic degrees of technical information and thereforeĀ  a steady drip of clear and simple information is employed.
